J. R. R. Tolkien – The Lord of the Rings

This one’s a complete favourite of mine. So this has to come out on my birthday 🙂

Review:

Alright, this first paragraph goes out to all those people who have already watched the movie and consider this review a serious waste of time. The book actually has a lot more characters which have been completely omitted from the movie. I can’t blame them because the book is very, very descriptive and it would have been impossible to completely make the book a movie. Tom Bombadil has been scrapped from the movie, though after reading the book, I did feel him to be an important character. To top it all, there are the appendices in the book that offer much more insight to the characters and get you really into the groove of the story.
