Review: Well, it was a brilliant biography, and not caring about what anyone else saying that it is not one of his best works, I want to say that I had frankly not heard of George Mallory before I read about him in here and I am guessing that this would be something to remember whenever we think of Sir Edmund Hillary finally reaching the top of Mount Everest and conquering it.

It would be folly to not remember the first people who ever made it to the place facing the extreme conditions for the very first time, providing invaluable experience for the people who followed their footsteps. Read more…

REVIEW:

The book starts off pretty nicely and gives you the story fast and then you are gripped. It’s a story like never before and it inspires you to keep reading. A book that I haven’t been able to put down at all since I reached around 200 of the 500 odd pages.

Jeffrey Archer goes way past expectations in this awesome novel. I haven’t had better to read from this guy and I doubt if I’ll find anything more interesting than the stuff that I have read for a long long time.

The story picks up it pace at around halfway and then (if not before) it’s got you hooked to it. I couldn’t put the book down, not till I had read the last page and even then it left me wanting for more. I wish there was more to it than just these 531 odd pages. I was so disappointed to see it end. This is one book worth reading over and over again. I’d recommend it and keep it along with the likes of “As the Crow Flies.Read more…
