This review is on the fly. I’m reading the book whilst writing this review. As of yet, I’ve been though more than half the book and I think I have completely missed out the core of the story. It just seems to be drifting around.
A lot of secrets are being told, some are being kept and there’s a whole lot of talk about how a seven-year-old is trying to avoid sins as much as possible as his entire family is a Baptist and sins are therefore not tolerated. Read more…
John Grisham – The Brethren
Review:
This one is a good book. Well, not as good as I would like it to be though. The book has its twists and I won’t deny it that. However, it just doesn’t seem to be gripping enough to give me a feel for keeping the book in my hands for long. Some areas tend to get a bit boring, but then the descriptiveness does help a bit.
The story is fast-paced most of the times with a good plot revolving around the key characters. Now this is a good thing, coz that makes it all the more easier for you to get through the story without confusing yourself too much. Read more…
