Toby Tyler

Toby Tyler

Type: Children’s Fiction

Rating: 8/10

Review:

The rating has been given considering kids in mind. I’m pretty sure that kids will actually like this book. I think it has been made into a movie too by Walt Disney.

The book is about a small boy named Toby Tyler who is fascinated by the circus in town. SO when th owner of a candy shop offers to take Toby with him when the circus leaves town, he accepts it immediately.

But as predictable, the real-life and the make-show life of the circus are two different things and Toby realizes this the hard way. His only “friend” is a monkey whom he has named Mr. Stubbs. He keeps telling his story of misery to Mr. Stubbs and then even expects to be understood.

Read it if you just want to remember the good old kiddie days.
