Atlas Shrugged

Type: Philosophy, Objectivism

Rating: 10/10

Review:

Writing about this one will take a long time. There’s just not enough space to accommodate it all. The story speaks more volumes than the space it occupies on a mere 1070 pages.

As the authoress has mentioned in her notes of the book, this one is not about John Galt, but about the environment around him. Well, he is the man who vowed to stop the motor of the world, and in a way he did.

TYPE: Philosophy/Novel

RATING: A Perfect Ten

REVIEW:

A novel which is a must read in these ages. It kind of reflects the phase that we are going through, with all the collective actions and the all for one philosophy. It’s not a book that everyone may like but since it’s just 100 pages I think anyone could put in a bit of time to read it and definitely find something worth his/her attention.

However, if you read the preface by the author, you will realize that she didn’t mean it to be a real-life situation and that she actually created the environment for that kind of a man to exist. In addition, I found a lot of points in the book that could actually be applied to real-life.
